Next to the Ki-rin, the Owl have the eastern-most suite on the guest-floor. Compared to most of the other guest rooms here, there is a feeling of ostentatiousness in the decor. The branches of a small potted pine-tree stretches out in the common room, filling it with a fresh scent. There is also floral decorations and stylistic lanterns to light up the room.

The common area have a couple of tables that can be used as needed by the guests, as well as a small rack of scrolls with reading materials - all provided by Hantei himself for his followers, and the texts cover matters of Bushido, swordsmanship, and general moral philosophy regarding how someone should behave (especially samurai).

Two rooms connect to this common area. The first is a rather small room, that can be closed off with a curtain, containing a small shrine to Amaterasu. Here, a person may offer their prayers or meditate, in a more private environ. The second room is the sleeping area. In here, various potted plants line one of the walls to stay warm near the hearth. This little collection of plants from the more southern provinces gives this room a fresh and earthy scent. However, the luxuriousness of the Owl's quarters are nothing special when it comes to the sleeping accommodations - plain mats for sleeping with only paper-screens to place between each spot for privacy is all that is offered. Wooden chests are provided for storing belongings during the stay here.
